Drennan Oil Products was established in 1992 and incorporated in 1998 to import and distribute lubricants to the agricultural, automotive, construction and quarrying industries. In 1997 Drennan Oil Products started to import and distribute racing fuels and lubricants for all disciplines of motor sport, been supported by world renowned brands such as Elf and Petrochem Carless. With the growth of the construction industry Drennan Oil Products acquired the distribution of Tillman Building Chemicals from Netherlands to supply concrete admixtures, cementitious mortars and associated chemicals to the readymix, precast and construction industries.

With the need to expand its current markets industries, Drennan Oil Products began to distribute Fuchs Lubricants, the world’s largest independent manufacture of lubricants, with a full range automotive engine oils, industrial lubricants, mining lubricants and specialist motorcycle lubricants with O.E.M. approvals. Fuchs lubricants gave Drennan Oil Products the possibility to bring over 10,000 lubricant products to the market, allowing to expand into new industries such as gas engines and wind turbines. The addition of Silkolene motorcycle lubricants, the No. 1 brand of motorcycle oil in the world complemented the motor sports lubricants brand recognition on the Irish market.

In 2014 Ecoratio eco-friendly release agents were added to the portfolio of concrete mould release agents supplied by Drennan Oil Products.
